The Dream Begins

In 2012, Chen Lesheng was a young university teacher. On the podium, he not only imparted knowledge, but also deeply realized the huge gaps and development obstacles in China’s semiconductor equipment and high-end scientific instruments.
As a teacher, Chen Lesheng clearly saw the difficult situation of China’s independent research and development in these fields, which gave him a strong sense of mission. In 2015, Shanghai Hiwave New Material Technology Co., Ltd. was founded under the leadership of Dr. Chen Lesheng, marking a key step in high-end scientific instruments.
In December of the same year, the Hiwave ultrasonic scanning microscope prototype was successfully launched. This achievement laid a solid foundation for Hiwave’s future development in the high-end field.
As an advanced testing equipment, ultrasonic scanning microscope provides strong support for internal testing of semiconductors, new energy vehicles and composite materials.
Through unremitting efforts, Hiwave has gradually emerged in the industry and become an important force for independent innovation.

From Debut to Breakthrough
In 2015, Hiwave reached several important milestones.
In April, Hiwave launched the finished ultrasonic scanning microscope and made its debut at the Hannover Industrial Fair, which attracted widespread attention in the industry.
At the same time, Hiwave Composite Materials Co., Ltd. was established in the same year, further expanding the company’s business.
In June, the first ultrasonic scanning microscope was sold in the low-voltage electrical appliance industry, marking a new stage in the market application of the product. In the same year, Shanghai Hiwave Technology was officially renamed Shanghai Hiwave Precision Instrument Co., Ltd.
In September, Shanghai Hiwave Precision won the Excellence Award in the 4th Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

Dr. Chen Lesheng’s entrepreneurial journey is full of passion and challenges. In 2016, Hiwave Precision Instrument Co., Ltd. took a key step.
In February, Hiwave Manufacturing established branches in the United States and Germany to promote global development. In the same year, Hiwave Precision successfully listed on the New Third Board with the stock code: 837263 and entered the capital market.
In June, ultrasonic scanning microscope was successfully applied to diamond defect and thickness detection. Since then, Shanghai Hiwave Precision Instrument Co., Ltd. has opened the door to the composite materials industry.
The Growth of Hiwave
In 2017, Dr. Chen Lesheng led Hiwave Precision to continue to move forward bravely on the road of scientific research and further expanded the company’s business areas.
The establishment of Hiwave Internet of Things in January marked a new breakthrough in the company’s technology and laid a solid foundation for future development.
In June, Hiwave Precision Instrument Co., Ltd. cooperated with the Department of Instrumentation and Engineering of Shanghai  Jiaotong University to establish an industrialized dual innovation base. This move not only promoted the integration of industry, academia and research, but also deepened Dr. Chen’s persistent pursuit of scientific and technological innovation.
In July, ultrasonic scanning microscope entered the field of semiconductor testing and packaging.
In September, the product successfully entered the water cooling field. Every breakthrough embodies Dr. Chen Lesheng’s decades of struggle and dreams.

In February, ultrasonic scanning microscopes successfully entered the IGBT field (insulated gate bipolar transistor), further expanding their application in high-end electronic component inspection.
In March, ultrasonic scanning microscopes entered Huawei’s new energy vehicles and its supplier system, providing a full inspection solution for this field and helping to improve the reliability of new energy vehicles.
